During this time of self-isolation or in the future for people who are not willing or able to travel, WCPS offers assessments using telehealth services.
As usual, the process begins by you phoning our office (604-730-1010) or completing our on-line referral form (click here). Our receptionist will connect with you or your client to set up appointment times.
All your client needs is access to a computer (tablet or cell phone) with a webcam and microphone, and a connection to the internet.
Once the appointment dates and times have been determined, our receptionist will email you (or your client) with instructions on what is needed for the virtual assessment.
There is no need to purchase any software or create any accounts. WCPS is currently using a free app called ‘Zoom’. Instructions on how to download that app will be included in the email to your client along with appointment times.
WCPS is more than willing to set up a trial run with your client prior to their intake appointment. This will allow your client to ensure their computer is working as needed. It will also give your client the opportunity to get comfortable with the process prior to their appointments.
Email (info@wcpservices.com) is currently the best way to reach us if you have any questions. We look forward to working with you and your client.

- If a client is unable to keep his/her appointment, we require at least 48 hours notice, otherwise it will be considered a ‘no show’ and fees may apply.
- If a client cancels with more than 48 hours notice, we will deduct the costs associated with any work done up to that point from the retainer or deposit and refund the remaining balance.
- WCPS will notify the case manager/referral agency whenever a client misses, cancels or reschedules an appointment.
- After 2 no shows or cancellations, the client will no longer be rescheduled.
- No Show fees are:
- $200 for a missed intake or feedback appointment,
- $400 for a missed day of testing.
- If a client chooses to discontinue the assessment, the fees are:
-
- $400 for discontinuing after an intake appointment,
- An additional $800 for discontinuing after one day of testing.
Note – No Show fees for out-of-town assessments may vary depending on circumstances.
